Matthew is responsible for running the Asia operations of Liberty Specialty Markets and leads our team of over 150 + professionals located across Asia.
Matthew has over 25 years of experience in specialty insurance, both in Australia and Asia. Matthew’s core area of expertise is Casualty, with a broad working knowledge of a range of complex commercial and specialty insurance products.
Matthew has managed teams across multiple geographic regions and been involved in business in a range of territories and market conditions.
Matthew joined Liberty in 2003 as a Casualty underwriter in the Melbourne office before moving on to manage the North Asia Casualty portfolio from Hong Kong, and then progressing to lead the Asia operations for Liberty Specialty Markets Asia in Singapore. In April 2024 Liberty introduced a single leadership team across all operations in Asia Pacific, and appointed Matthew to lead this team.
